Happy Monday,
my loves. I hope you all had a good weekend!
I was
umming and arring with what to write about this week and then I had a light
bulb moment (trust me, that doesn't happen very often). So, I thought I would
create a series and *try* to post most Sunday's
with what I have learnt and taken from my week. I’m hoping that doing this
will allow me to think about what I have achieved but also what I aspire to
accomplish in the coming days. If you’re looking to do something similar then
feel free to join me on Sunday's and read along, I’d love to have you. Hopefully
it can help someone out there to think about what’s going well and what they’d
also like to work on, so we may as well do it together, right?
ALLOW YOURSELF TIME OUT
I am
one of those people who enjoys being busy 24/7 and if I don’t feel like I’m
getting anywhere with my day, I start to get frustrated and easily agitated. Sometimes
this isn’t a healthy way to think so recently, I have made sure to take time
out for myself and do things for me. I have noticed a big difference in how I
feel and I’m glad I took some much-needed time out! To give you an example,
this week I have struggled with finding the motivation and inspiration to post
on Instagram. My mind has been prioritised with other things so I just wasn’t
feeling it at all! As I love to create content, I knew I needed to push myself
back into it, as it’s something I feel passionate about. I sat down, read some
blogs, took some photos and created a new preset for my feed and I think I am
slowly getting back on track. It is important to be able to take a step back
and reevaluate why you do these things, the answer is usually because you love to do it. Sometimes your fire may
fade but you will always find a way to get the spark back – it all takes time!
KEEP POSITIVE AND GOOD WILL COME
Some
great things have started to happen over the last couple of weeks and I truly believe
that’s because I have been thinking positively and haven’t been stuck in a
negative headspace. Some people may think this is a load of gobbledygook but, I
have started to read about the ‘Law of Attraction’ and it has popped into my
mind on a daily basis - call me crazy but hear me out. Do you ever have one of
those days where you sit there and think, “I spoke about that last week and now
it’s happening” because I do and it freaks me out every time but, I have put it
down to the Law of Attraction. If you have positive thoughts and aims then you
will always find a way to achieve them, no matter what. Positivity, persistence
and passion are key!
MAKE TIME FOR PEOPLE WHO MAKE TIME FOR YOU
As you
get older, you start to value friendship more. Some people come and go, which
is absolutely fine and you can learn from it but its important to understand
that you shouldn’t have to put your time into others who wouldn’t do it for you
– you’re worth more than that. Over the years, this has happened to me A LOT but I now have such a great (and
small) group of friends who I adore speaking to on a daily basis and I would
make so much time for them as I know they would for me too. If you haven’t
talked to someone for a while but you would like to, definitely drop them a
line and ask to meet up, life it too short not too. I’m sure they’ll love to
hear from you and I bet they’ve missed you too! It’s so important to make time
for each other nowadays, even though it is hard sometimes as we all have such
busy lives but is there really anything better than meeting up, having a coffee
(or a cheeky cocktail) and catching up about life? I think not.
CHERISH SIMPLE MOMENTS
On
Saturday night, we sat down as a family with our hot drinks and blankets to
watch a movie together, we haven’t done that for such a long time and it felt
so good! I must admit, I’m not a big film fan but it was such a nice and
well-spent couple of hours. We watched ‘Goodbye Christopher Robin’ which made
me cry 3 times (I just cant help myself) but if you used to read Winnie the
Pooh when you were little, definitely have a watch – it’ll give you all the
feels. My point is that having some time out with family is needed and a good
way for everyone to wind down relax and enjoy their night.
DRINK WATER
You’re
probably sat thinking, “isn’t that obvious?” because it is but as someone who
has never drank a lot, this has always been a challenge. I decided enough is
enough and I caved and bought a big ol’ bottle to fill every day and I can say,
it’s actually working! If you have read my blog before, you will know I have
MAJOR skin issues and I can already see the difference in my skin and I have
only been drinking litres of water for about a week. So, moral of the story is,
when someone says that water can help clear you skin and make you feel better,
IT REALLY CAN. I need to start taking my own advice.
Well,
that went on for longer than I thought but I hope you enjoyed my ramblings. Let
me know if you’d like this to become a regular series, as I’d love to chat to
you about your week too!

I love this post, it's such a good idea to reflect on your week. I completely agree with you about positive attitudes attracting good things, a good mindset is everything! I really need to try to drink more water, I'm too addicted to diet coke so I hardly ever just have a glass of water, oops.

Hey lovely! ☺️ So glad you enjoyed it. I completely agree, I had a good week so thought I’d write a quick post about it. That’s what I think too and it seems to work. HAHA. Girl, I love a Diet Coke too but maybe try and buy yourself a nice bottle as it’s definitely helped me!! 🙌🏻 xx
Loved this girly. Such a nice little reflection on the week, and I definitely agree with keeping positive and also cherishing those simple moments. Both are so important for a healthy mindset and well-being! xx
