So, I have recently had a few questions about my Instastories so I
thought I would jump on here and write a quick post. A couple of months ago
when flicking through Instagram, I noticed many bloggers had gorgeous layouts and I thought they
would’ve taken hours to create on Photoshop but in fact, it’s a lot easier and
less time consuming than that as there is an app that does it all for you - its
called Unfold and it’s a minimalists dream!
When you open the app, there is a plus sign at the top of the page,
which allows you to start creating your story. You can name your piece or leave
it blank, whichever you’d prefer. You are now in ‘Edit Mode’ where you can get
creative and explore all the templates that are on offer. With the app, you are
given the CS1 templates, which are mainly all rectangular but you can also
purchase CS2 and FF1 to give you more variety. There are also a range of fonts which you can choose from depending on what type of content you are sharing.

CS1 has an editorial feel where you can merge both image and text to
create a narrative. These templates would be perfect for trips away, outfit
shots or just showing off your favourite flatlay. CS2 is very similar but you get a wider range of shapes, sizes and layouts
with the added choice of changing the background colour from black to white.
Both these sets give you many unique ways to display your work but FF1 is an absolute game changer! FF1
templates are inspired by analog photography so you can transform your images
into polaroids and film negatives to give your Instastories a retro feel. To
begin with I didn’t want to purchase the other templates but I bit the bullet
and I don’t regret it at all – they’re so worth it!

Once you have finished your masterpiece, you can post them straight
from the app, over onto your stories without any problems. This app has
definitely helped me to experiment with my stories and push my creative
development so if you’re looking to put more time into your Instagram without
having to use Photoshop or any other editing programmes then definitely give
this app a go – you will love it!
So, that is Unfold in a
nutshell! I hope you have felt somewhat inspired by this post and please let me
know if you download the app, I’d love to see what you create! If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to pop me a message and I will try my best to help.
