As Father’s Day is just around the corner, I thought I would put together a little gift guide, as I know how hard it can be to buy for men. If your Dad is anything like mine then he will just say he doesn’t want a gift or the classic answer of “I don’t know” so here is a list of ideas to hopefully inspire you.

I hope you have found something here that you think your Dad would like. Now you're prepared, you can sit back and relax! How are you going to spoil your Dad this Father's Day?

So, I have recently had a few questions about my Instastories so I thought I would jump on here and write a quick post. A couple of months ago when flicking through Instagram, I noticed many bloggers had gorgeous layouts and I thought they would’ve taken hours to create on Photoshop but in fact, it’s a lot easier and less time consuming than that as there is an app that does it all for you - its called Unfold and it’s a minimalists dream!

When you open the app, there is a plus sign at the top of the page, which allows you to start creating your story. You can name your piece or leave it blank, whichever you’d prefer. You are now in ‘Edit Mode’ where you can get creative and explore all the templates that are on offer. With the app, you are given the CS1 templates, which are mainly all rectangular but you can also purchase CS2 and FF1 to give you more variety. There are also a range of fonts which you can choose from depending on what type of content you are sharing.

CS1 has an editorial feel where you can merge both image and text to create a narrative. These templates would be perfect for trips away, outfit shots or just showing off your favourite flatlay. CS2 is very similar but you get a wider range of shapes, sizes and layouts with the added choice of changing the background colour from black to white. Both these sets give you many unique ways to display your work but FF1 is an absolute game changer! FF1 templates are inspired by analog photography so you can transform your images into polaroids and film negatives to give your Instastories a retro feel. To begin with I didn’t want to purchase the other templates but I bit the bullet and I don’t regret it at all – they’re so worth it!

Once you have finished your masterpiece, you can post them straight from the app, over onto your stories without any problems. This app has definitely helped me to experiment with my stories and push my creative development so if you’re looking to put more time into your Instagram without having to use Photoshop or any other editing programmes then definitely give this app a go – you will love it!

So, that is Unfold in a nutshell! I hope you have felt somewhat inspired by this post and please let me know if you download the app, I’d love to see what you create! If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to pop me a message and I will try my best to help.

Oh face masks - so many varieties, brands, skin types and solutions but I have finally found 3 that actually work, can I get an amen?! Before I jump in though, let me just tell you a bit about my nightmare of a face. I have oily to combination skin which is very prone to breakouts so when I am having a particularly bad day, I hop in the bath and smother my face in a mask and prey that I notice a difference in 20 minutes but of course, I am *usually* let down every time. With some masks I have used in the past (and trust me, I've used many), I literally never see a difference and it just feels like a waste of time and money so I decided to stick to testing my favourites over a couple of weeks and these beauties didn't let me down!

Price: £6.95 for 125g, £12.50 for 315g and £19.95 for 600g

I have been using this mask for as long as I can remember but I have fallen in love with it all over again! I don't know about you but I like products that I can feel working and this does just that. As it contains peppermint oil, it gives a light tingle but doesn't feel uncomfortable, instead its incredibly soothing and definitely calms the skin. I like to use this either in the bath or after steaming my face with the Dream Steam tabs as hot water really helps to open pores so you feel the full benefit of the mask. When you're ready to wash it off, there are little evening primrose seeds and aduki beans to give a gentle exfoliation - win win! So, if you're looking for a spot fighter that leaves your skin feeling rejuvenated and full of life then give this one a go!

Price: £32

I was impressed with this product as soon as I got it out the box as applying a mask with your fingers can get a little messy but ThisWorks have answered all our skincare prayers! You apply this mask with a charcoal brush applicator, which is on the bottom of the tube; that means no more product getting stuck in your fingernails, hurray! If you live or work in London, you will know all about the air pollution but did you know it can have negative effects on your complexion? This miracle mask gives your skin a deep clean to remove all the polluting particles from your pores. When applying this, similar to the Lush mask, you can really feel it working and drawing out impurities. This mask is on the pricier side but honestly, its so worth it!

Price: £9.99

I have featured this in a couple of my most recent posts but, I just had to talk about it again! I am prone to hormonal spots which are incredibly painful so I have started to pop this on before going to bed and by the time I wake up, the blemish is noticeably smaller and doesn't hurt as much. Of course you can still apply this like a normal mask and then wash off after 10-15 minutes but I have found that it works wonders being used as a spot treatment, give it a try!

So, there we go. I hope this has helped you in some way and introduced you to some new products, if you hadn't heard of them before. Let me know if you give them ago, I'd love to know what you think!
