How on earth is the end of January already creeping closer? I mean, I still can't quite believe that we are in twenty eighteen, I swear it was only twenty twelve like five minutes ago - crazy?! But, now that we are well into the New Year, I have been thinking about what I plan to achieve.

Last year I faced many challenges but I also made memories that I will treasure forever. What I did learn was that sometimes you have got to put yourself first no matter how hard that may be so, that is what I will be continuing to do. Self-care and development is incredibly important in my eyes; you will notice many of my aims are to allow myself to grow as a person and I am looking forward to seeing some change!

So with that, I hope you enjoy reading my little list and if you have the same goal then lets work together and smash it!

To get fit, eat healthy and drink water
I feel like this is one that many aim to achieve throughout the year but I am determined to feel more confident in myself again. When I was at university, I started to comfort eat quite a lot when I was feeling homesick or stressed with deadlines and my body hasn’t thanked me for it so I will definitely work harder this year to get fit, happy and more confident!

To do more photo shoots as a photographer + blogger
Did you know I am a photographer? As I have a degree and absolutely adore taking photos of others, I will definitely continue to use my skills this year BUT I also want to become more comfortable in front of the camera too! This is something I want to work on, as I love to have fashion shots on both my blog and social media so if there are any photographers out there who want to transform me into the next top model then please head my way!

To work harder on my blog and socials
To follow on from the previous aim, I want to push my blog and social media to a level that I am happy with. I definitely plan to up my content and to post more often as I have a LOAD of ideas that I am excited to get started on. I am very excited to see my blog develop as it hits one year old.

To travel somewhere new
For the last two years, I have been lucky enough to travel somewhere new and I want to make sure I carry that on. I have always had a list of places where I would love to visit so I feel it is time to start ticking them off. The dream for this year would be to travel to some gorgeous European cities so fingers crossed I can make it happen.

To get myself more organised
To keep myself organised, I usually write a to do list every night before I head to bed as I feel it helps to settle my mind and then I can get started straight away once I’ve woken up. I will make sure I continue to do this but I have also been thinking about creating a bullet journal. I think it is such an interesting and creative way of keeping organised so I will let you guys know if and when I have started. Do you keep a bullet journal?

There you go, my five aims for twenty eighteen! Many good things happened in twenty seventeen but I am determined and excited to make this year even better. Twenty eighteen will be my year!

Have you set any goals or aims for this year?

MY GOALS FOR 2018

Finding the perfect underwear can be a hard task but with Valentine's Day right around the corner, it is the perfect time to think about treating yourself to some new sets - whether it be a basic bralette or a luscious little lace number. I'll be showing you four pretty (but also a little sexy) pieces courtesy of the lovelies at Pretty Little Thing. I couldn’t recommend Pretty Little Thing enough for beautiful lingerie which is amazing quality; it is also inexpensive so stock up, girls - you deserve it!

-----

This simple black bandeau is the perfect staple for your underwear draw. The material is soft velvet, which makes for a luxe look but the thick waistband to give more support throughout the day - smart and sensible! As well as wearing it under your clothes, you could pair it with a knit for added comfort or if you're feeling brave, wearing it as a crop with a skirt or jeans. This is an incredibly versatile and only £10, snap it up quick!

This is my idea of the ultimate bralette, black lace with a gorgeous under bust design, what more could a girl want? The small floral detail is what caught my eye, as it looks sophisticated but also rather sexy. As well as this bralette looking stunning, it also fits amazingly well on all body types. As a girl with a bigger bust, I usually struggle to find a non-padded bra but this one fits in all the right places. Classy and comfortable, win win!

3) BASIC RED JERSEY BRA AND KNICKER SET
I’m not usually one to wear colour, I’m more of a monochrome kind of girl but I can definitely make an exception. This set is perfect for everyday but as red is the colour of passion (and it is Valentine’s after all); you can flaunt it like a queen! The bra is soft cotton with an elasticated waistband whilst the thong is a winner, as it doesn’t give you a constant wedgie, hurray! You can buy the set for £12 and it also comes in khaki so I may have to treat myself that one too.

Now for the grand finale! I have wanted a lace bodysuit for as long as I can remember so I am very excited to share this one with you. When on Instagram and Pinterest, I always see bodysuits being worn with jeans, a thick belt and a cute jacket and it looks incredible so I wanted to try this out for myself. I am in love with the dainty lace and strap detail, as it looks incredibly flattering yet sophisticated. So if you’re on the hunt for a lace bodysuit, pick this one! It is only £15 and it also comes in red. Definitely a staple to make any basic outfit look special.

I hope you have seen something you love from my edit. If you want to treat yourself or someone special this Valentine’s, have a look on Pretty Little Thing and find something to look and feel amazing in. There are so many gorgeous designs and most sets range from size 6-16 so there will be something to suit everyone – spoilt for choice!

I hope you all have a lovely Valentine’s Day!

Recently I have been on a couple of small adventures on my own and I must admit, I quite enjoyed travelling solo. My first trip was over to the Isle of Man last September and then my second was up to the Lake District on Tuesday for a short stay. For some people, traveling alone may be a doddle but if you’re anything like me then it can be a challenge. I pushed myself out of my comfort zone on both of these trips but I am proud that I did. I have put together a list of things that helped me along the way so I hope they can help you too!

Be prepared
At one point, I think I had over 20 different screenshots on my camera roll of my journey, what platform to be on, where to catch the bus and so on. For me, this is an easy way to make sure I know exactly where I need to be and at what times. What would we do without our phones, ey?

Talk to people around you
This can sometimes take me a lot of courage but if you’re unsure about something, just talk to someone and they can help you - whether that be a train conductor, bus driver, hotel receptionist or even a stranger. Don’t be shy; it could help you in the long run.

Keep yourself occupied
Instead of worrying throughout your journey, keep yourself busy by watching a series on Netflix, listening to music or reading a book; this will help to keep your mind off stressful situations. It also makes the journey go quicker – win win!

Take a packed lunch
I don’t know about you but when I’m on the train, I prefer to stay in my seat for the entire journey (is it just me who does this?) so I make sure to pack some food so I don’t have to go traipsing up and down the carriages to find the onboard café. It’s easier and definitely cheaper!

Have fun
Traveling alone can be daunting but also very exciting! This allows you to explore and adventure around a new area you’ve perhaps never been to before. Take it all in as you don’t know when the next opportunity will be. Treasure the memories!

If you’re planning a little trip soon, I hope these tips have helped you in some way. It is normal to feel nervous about going on your own but, take some deep breaths and believe in yourself  - you’re much braver than you think!
